About Me

This makes my 1st year at Evans High School, but 8th year as a Knight (my 12th year teaching). I am originally from Kentucky, but I graduated from the University of Florida with my Bachelor's of Arts in Education in 2001 and my Master's of Education in 2002. I received my Education Specialist degree from Augusta University in May 2021. I am currently working on my Doctorate at Kennesaw State University.

After graduating from Florida in 2002, I moved to Hawaii, where I got my first teaching job and met my husband who was a Sailor in the US Navy. He recently retired and is now teaching at the Columbia County Alternative School. Because of his career, we have lived in Texas, Florida, Maryland, and Georgia. We have 2 daughters, Sarah and Margaret. We also have 3 cats and 2 dogs.

In my free time, I love to read (especially young adult fiction), binge Netflix shows, and play both tennis and pickleball.
