Exam Exemption Policy

Parents and students, please review the information below and the Final Exams Policy in its entirety.

Students who have no disciplinary referrals that result in out-of-school suspension or in-school suspension, and have no outstanding fines shall use the requirements below to determine exam exemption status. 

  • Seniors can exempt a final exam in a course with an unweighted 90 average or higher with a maximum of 5 excused absences, or an unweighted 85 average or higher with 3 excused absences.

  • Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 can exempt up to three final exams per semester. To exempt the final exam, the student must have an unweighted 90 average or higher with a maximum of 5 excused absences, or an unweighted 85 average or higher with 3 excused absences.
