Hi! My name is Leslie Vandenabeele! Don't worry, you can just call me Mrs. V! I am excited to join the Lakeside Panther Family! This marks my 12th year teaching overall. I began my teaching career at Midland Valley High School in 2012 and have been teaching Intro, Essentials, Sports Medicine and Allied Health for the last 8 years at Evans High. Before I started teaching I worked in the field of Sports Medicine as a certified athletic trainer. I had the privilege of working in many different settings such as hospitals, colleges, outpatient clinics, professional sports and pediatrics. I actually worked as the Athletic Trainer for Lakeside in the early 2000s! I also am a certified clinical medical assistant! Many people ask me why I would leave a profession I loved and my answer is simple. You see, I got into health care because I wanted to improve the quality of life for people. Hopefully I can improve my students quality of life by helping them find their passion. If I can help students find their passion in health care, I can impact many more lives through them than I ever could have by myself! Teaching is my PASSION and nothing brings me greater joy than helping students find theirs!
