AP US History
Course Description
AP US History is a demanding, two-semester, college-level survey course designed to provide students with the skills and factual knowledge needed to analyze the history of this country from exploration to the present. By emphasizing important themes in US history, the course enables students to connect events and issues from 1492 to the concerns of the present. Students enrolled in AP US History have the opportunity to earn college credit by passing a national examination administered Friday May 10, 2019. In order to encourage mastery of the material, the students are required to take the first semester exam.
